Hi, I'm Melanie Aspenson, founder of Aspen Hill Equine Assisted Services. My husband and I, along with our four children, put down roots on our ranch in 2022—a place where our love for God's great outdoors, animals, and authentic connection has truly come to life.
I hold a Bachelors degree in Psychology from UW-La Crosse, a Master of Science in Counselor Education from Winona State University, and I’ve been trained through The Natural Lifemanship Institute in Texas. Before founding Aspen Hill, I served in the school setting as both a Middle and High School At-Risk Teacher and an Elementary School Counselor. These experiences shaped my deep commitment to helping others feel seen, heard, and supported.
Through years of working with children and families, I've seen the incredible power of connection and movement to help us heal and grow. Our horses, in particular, continue to amaze me—they know me in ways words can't explain and teach with a quiet wisdom that is both humbling and inspiring.
It’s an honor to create a space where people can experience this kind of connection and growth. I look forward to meeting you and walking alongside you on your journey.
